Bring back the minecraft server.

Going to keep this short, many people would like to have the mine-craft server back up and running. Being a YouTube commentary I love playing mine-craft and am currently looking for new servers to post up and such. I love Foco Gaming and would love to see the MC server back up : ). Personally, I'd pay and help manage the server with Mows permission. Anyone?

Would be nice if it was back up. I'd enjoy helping you guys out running it as I got myself some knowledge about running Minecraft servers.

Also I think FoCogaming should advertise it's Minecraft server for a bit on the Minecraft forums, so we also get people from the world wide web to join us instead of all LS-RP members.

Basic plugins we could use:

- Local chat/chat modifier (HeroChat)
- Admin Jail.
- WorldEdit (definately needed)
- Jobs v2.3.3 : Also seems really interesting.

Could always be more plugins. The ones above are quite basic but mandatory to an RP server.

Actually, some settings I was thinking about ingame:

- PVP should be on. Players should be able to kill each other (like in LS-RP). Though, hostile mobs should be off (or maybe only on in specific areas). You should (like in LSRP) not be allowed to randomly DM everybody, but only when you have a good reason to kill him. Actually it'd be fun to apply all basic LSRP rules to this Minecraft RP server. Minecraft gives a great roleplaying evironment aswell, as you can build your own house, customize it, etc. Then show it off, have some roleplay troughout the map you have built yourself.

- There should be a ranking system. When you type something in the chat, you see what rank you are. All permissions should be rank-specific. When you first join the server, you shouldn't be able to do anything unless you apply (like on LS-RP, though the app shouldn't be as tough as in LS-RP, but they gotta know the basics. Metagaming, powergaming, etc. Then there should be member. The regular 'civillians', or just give them a 'civillian' rank. For official factions (cops or guards or any other authority) you can also create a rank which has access to more commands.

There's a lot to edit and modify here to create an awesome roleplaying server on Minecraft. I haven't really seen one yet, but it is possible.

I've seen it used on several servers. In my opinion, it makes sense that a person who continues to chop trees, can do it faster and what not. You become a master of the skill. It's like any job people have; they get better as they continually do it.

I haven't really seen a good roleplay mod out there. Especially the whole police force and and what not, though I imagine it might not be to hard with a decent coder (Wazza anyone?). There's a lot of plugins out there right now for base protection, to stop the griefers.

I've played it a good amount. A little rusty now that I've stopped playing, but I'm always willing to help. There's a lot of plugins available that can do most of the stuff we need, but there's a few things we would need if we decided to make it an actual roleplay like server. That's where a handy coder could come in, because there's nothing like LS-RP in Minecraft!

I have been building a hella lot in Minecraft, I know anything about it. Also I got knowledge how to run a server and update it and everything (not that hard). My Java knowledge is too weak to actually make anything, so I can tell anything about the game itself, but scripting is not my thing in this case. Though I am willing to assist if I can help somehow, because I'd really love to see this idea being initiated.

I know how to use and run a Bukkit server. Lately I've been refreshing my mind on plugins, permissions and working with coding again. I already have set up a server with massive plugins and usergroups as a little test. So far it's great and people aren't complaining
